Fuuiin's Tales From Earthsea Ova Review

Rated: 6

This movie was well packaged, but the box, when opened was completely empty. Again, this review is for people who have read and love Ursula Le Guinn's original writing. I was so aghast throughout the movie, I couldn't remain truly objective. The story ruined it all for me. If I never read the original books, I might have thought this was an enjoyable story, but as a tribute to the Earthsea books, it was completely botched. There is no depth to the characters, no idea why they are driven to do the things they do, and no idea how they are strung together. I grew up loving Gibli studio, and still love their movies. I dare say I love them better than Disney movies because they are more complex and have more depth. Young and adult viewers enjoy these movies. That is, until this one.

Fuuiin's My-HiME Tv Review

My-HiME

Rated: 7

Since I watched all of it, I would say it's worth watching. It's definitely not slow so if there are bad parts it goes by pretty fast. Since not a lot of questions are answered along the way you are left watching till the end to find out what's going on. A good combination of happy, sad, and bitter sweet moments. The story although not too special isn't so bland that it's not worth watching. At least they portray the characters pretty realistically even though they might not look so realistic. The background music also makes it very enjoyable. Humor is present in those anime typical laugh moments, but otherwise it's pretty sad all the way up till the end.

Fuuiin's Samurai Champloo Tv Review

Samurai Champloo

Rated: 8

Everything combined together makes for a crazy slow yet fast paced, happy yet in a crazy way series. I would watch it just because it's so crazy. The story is somewhat lacking just because of everything else that's going on in the series and an inadequate development. A lot of unanswered questions and cliff hangers that never are resolved. This is also a series to watch just for fun, some deep moments, but overall an enjoyable thing that doesn't cause a lot of thinking. But some parts you might just think about it lot because it was so strange that you have to do a double-take. The story is set in Edo-period Japan but it might as well have been modern Tokyo with swords.

Fuuiin's Fruits Basket Tv Review

Fruits Basket

Rated: 9

The overall presentation is great. This is a must watch if you are more into story than action. It might be too slow for people who only like action animes. It's got a quirky sense of humor. Kagura and Kyo are the funniest but all of the characters are pretty lively and are developed nicely even in the shortened version of the anime. Again, it's really original but on second thought maybe not for everybody. The art's not the best, the sounds aren't the best, but they do work well for their purpose and the story is developed really well. This series is great if you look at it as an intro to the manga, but the series by itself will leave you hanging at the end. It does have a sort of conclusion but leaves too many loose threads and unanswered questions.
